POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Financial Analysis, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated

intern

to join our team. This hybrid role combines elements of traditional financial analysis and reporting with data analysis responsibilities, offering an excellent growth opportunity for a candidate looking to develop both strategic financial insight and technical data skills. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to support the firms reporting and performance analysis functions. This position is in our Chicago office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of key financial and performance metrics. Assist with maintaining critical timekeeper data including timekeeper attributes, rates, budgets and changes and perform cross-functional reconciliations as needed. Generate and maintain dynamic Excel-based financial models. Support in preparation of financial and other data in connection with external surveys (including but not limited to industry and government). Collaborating with Finance & Accounting department staff and other administrative departments to ensure data consistency.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Continually working to ensure quality and accuracy of work product. Ability to problem solving skills and provide creative solutions. Contributing to team to develop tools, processes, and procedures to maximize efficiency. Maintaining positive, collaborative and professional attitude within pricing team and as well as with other departments and lawyers.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Must be enrolled full-time, in a 4-year university/college pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. Must be well organized with strong attention to detail and good business judgment, capable of handling sensitive information with appropriate discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint, database management, data presentation software, Visual Basic, and SQL is a plus. Ability to work independently and maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks due to changing deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Must have a positive attitude and be results-oriented, dependable, adhere to established time commitments and demonstrate strong customer service attributes.
