Sr Manager, Retail Windows & Visual Experience
Marine Layer is looking for a Sr Manager to drive the strategy and execution of window presentation across our fleet of 53 stores. This newly created role reports directly to our Creative Director and will play a critical role in defining how our brand shows up physically—on the street, in the window, and in the moment.
Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve a multi-season window strategy for all Marine Layer retail locations, ensuring brand consistency while allowing flexibility by market and store size
Develop and present a clear, compelling window vision to senior leadership that aligns with brand storytelling, product priorities, and commercial goals
Partner with Marketing and Merchandising to align window moments with seasonal campaigns, launches, and key retail moments
Lead the end-to-end execution of window programs—from concept and design through production, rollout, and post-install evaluation
Define success metrics for window programs, including qualitative brand impact and quantitative signals such as traffic and engagement
Serve as the ultimate owner of window execution quality across all stores
Collaborate closely with Store Operations and Visual teams to ensure concepts are executable, scalable, and operationally efficient
Develop toolkits, playbooks, and training materials to support consistent execution across the fleet
Act as the primary point of accountability for window execution quality across the fleet
Manage external vendors, fabricators, and installers while owning timelines and budgets
Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience in retail visual merchandising, brand experience, or creative production, within a premium or specialty retail environment
Passion for Marine Layer and a deep appreciation for thoughtful, understated brand expression
Demonstrated success scaling visual or window programs across a multi-store fleet
Strong strategic storyteller with the ability to translate brand vision into physical retail moments
Experience managing budgets, vendors, and complex production timelines
Highly collaborative leader who can influence across Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations
Comfortable using data, insights, and store feedback to iterate and improve programs
