Through advisory services, research, benchmarking, and events, DBP offers members a trusted partnership for solutions and strategies on how to implement, grow, measure, and create first‑in‑class culture, inclusion and belonging programs.

We are hiring an Associate Director to serve in the role of Research Development and Advisory on the DBP team. This position is open to hires in Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; or remote employment within the continental U.S., with up to 40% in‑person travel.

This position is also listed as Associate Director, Seramount Advisory for posting purposes; the official title is expected to be Associate Director, Seramount Advisory to align with EAB business norms.

Big Picture Objectives

Serve as inclusive workforce culture, belonging and engagement subject matter expert; conduct research when necessary.

Meet and exceed member expectations to support renewal and retention efforts.

Serve as trusted point of contact for member advisory, inquiries, research requests and communications.

Work across the EAB Seramount team between Relationship Management, Marketing, Events, Insights and Solutions teams to help members achieve workplace culture objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Dedicate 70% of time in market with partners (virtual, in‑person) to serve high‑impact solutions and offerings supporting client delivery.

Achieve expertise and mastery on workplace culture subject areas by influencing research and insights with new content relevant for areas of expertise.

Serve as subject matter expert on workplace culture practices specializing in Employee Resource Groups and Talent Inclusion efforts, conducting client calls and providing practitioner consulting on development and execution of strategy.

Deliver presentations to DBP partners on a range of subjects both new and existing.

Collaborate with relationship managers and marketing teams to identify, develop and build proposals to secure new member pipeline, close new deals and execute renewals.

Support Seramount events and conferences, serve as partner advocate for content, facilitate and add to partner experiences.

Partner with marketing to create and/or advise on communications and partner outreach (blogs, articles, resources, promotional messages).

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

5+ years of post‑graduate professional experience in inclusive workplace culture and 3–5+ years in Human Resources and/or consulting.

Concrete understanding of Inclusive Talent Strategies, ERGs and their correlation to organizational impact.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and interface effectively with all levels of an organization.

Utilize research and insights to deliver recommendations and solutions to clients.

Experience with stakeholder engagement and change management.

Highly detail‑oriented, organized, able to multitask, follow through and work independently and within a highly collaborative team structure.

Ownership and accountability towards business goals.

Consultative approach and commitment to client success.

Experience preparing workshops and formal presentations for clients.

Thoughtful, creative, proactive problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.

Excellent organizational, oral and written communications.

Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Compensation The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $72,500–$110,000 per year. Actual salary varies based on relevant experience, skills and location. The hire will be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation; variable compensation may depend on performance.
