CellCentric is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, science driven and patient focused. Our drug, inobrodib is a first-in-class p300/CBP inhibitor that is being developed for the treatment of multiple myeloma and other specific cancers. Our aim is to develop inobrodib as quickly and as effectively as possible for the benefit of patients.
Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of CellCentric’s Executive and Senior Leadership Team responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business and providing strategic guidance to ensure the company’s growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. This role will drive financial strategy, capital management, and operational rigor to support CellCentric’s continued advancement as a leading biotechnology company.

Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy and Planning
Lead proactive cash flow forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to inform strategic decisions, capital strategy, and risk management.
Prepare and present funding scenarios and financial outlooks to the CEO and Board, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Oversee the development and execution of financial strategies that strengthen CellCentric’s positioning with investors and banking partners, supporting long-term funding goals and potential IPO readiness, as directed by the Board.
Drive the company’s valuation activities, including comparator and risk-adjusted net present value (rNPV) analysis, in collaboration with internal teams and financial advisors.
Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and financial reporting standards.
Operational and Financial Management
Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across all financial operations.
Partner with the finance team to manage budget allocations, cost control, and investment prioritization aligned with R&D and corporate objectives.
Maintain robust systems for financial control and regulatory compliance, ensuring CellCentric meets all statutory obligations.
Collaborate with department heads to provide insights that drive performance improvement and resource optimization.
Investor Relations and Communications
Lead and strengthen CellCentric’s investor relations strategy, translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, investor-relevant narratives.
Prepare and deliver investor presentations, financial updates, and Board materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Working closely with the CEO on messaging, oversee the development of cohesive corporate communications, including external materials such as financial press releases, corporate decks, and reports, ensuring alignment with CellCentric’s brand and strategic priorities.
Leadership and Collaboration
Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and member of the Executive team, contributing to the overall direction and success of the company.
Build and mentor a high-performing finance organization, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Represent CellCentric with integrity and professionalism in interactions with stakeholders, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Skills, Qualifications and Desired Experience
ACA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive within the biotech or life sciences sector. Deep experience in financial planning, fundraising, and investor engagement.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to use data to guide strategic decisions.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
Demonstrated experience supporting biotech companies in late-stage development, particularly within hematology or oncology therapeutic areas, such as multiple myeloma.
Experience with valuation modeling and commercial forecasting for oncology assets.
Experience with the financial listing process for biotech companies (e.g., NASDAQ or LSE listings), including collaboration with investment banks, legal counsel, and auditors through due diligence and regulatory filings.
Expertise in preparing financial statements and disclosures compliant with public company reporting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) and SEC or FCA regulatory requirements.
