Your Opportunity as the Senior Analyst, Category Leadership – Target Coffee
This role is responsible for creating and managing customer-specific category management deliverables for the Coffee category at Target. There is specific emphasis on actionable category and shopper insights that drive the business for the assigned customer wholistically across total omni-channel. Collects, summarizes, and presents available data to provide our category management team with information necessary to develop the business.
Location:
Edina, MN
Work Arrangements:
Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In This Role You Will
Track sales trends and insights
Develop and perform weekly sales reporting to deliver to the buyer
Identify key customer and channel opportunities
Participate in the development of Category strategies based on insights and opportunities
Translate and synthesize consumer and shopper insights into strategic category growth stories and initiatives
Assist in translating multi-channel customer category strategy into retailer specific category opportunities
Assist in helping to influence multi-channel retailer category strategies through account specific insights
Help deliver POG Transitions and Revisions
Participate in various training activities to enhance job performance and personal growth
Assist Category Lead in identifying market opportunities
Analyze customer business using IRI, Nielsen and customer's proprietary data (shopper card, POS)
Assist in the development of category reviews that will be leveraged to grow total category sales
Use information from multiple data sources to identify Category opportunities with a multi-channel approach
Develop solutions with respect to product distribution, promotion, pricing, and shelf-placement
Prepare clear and concise presentations to inform customer of business/consumer trends, existing opportunities, and solutions for growth
Participate in the design and drawing of Plan-o-grams using JDA software
Conduct both in-store and online competitive retailer downloads (i.e. comp shops)
Assist in post-seasonal performance analysis and recaps to share with broader Coffee team
Assist other functional areas to develop business opportunities and provide information

Minimum Requirements What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of experience in Sales Analytics, Category Management or Shopper Insights
Experience using POS, Panel, and Retailer Shopper data (ie. Nielsen, IRI, DOMO, PartnersOnline, etc)
Strong cross-functional teamwork orientation with an ability to develop high-quality relationships
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence decisions
Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects and customers
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):
Experience building relationships within retail customers
Target experience
Exposure to JDA
