The
Development Operations Manager
is an essential member of the philanthropy team and a key partner in its integration with Finance and Operations. In this role, you will foster an exceptional donor and patron experience through thoughtful stewardship, data integrity, and operational effectiveness, in alignment with our mission: To inspire the intellect, touch the heart, elevate the soul, and connect us all with our shared humanity through transformative experiences with Baroque and Classical music.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Lead the Development Department's use of our CRM, Tessitura, coordinating its functions for fundraising and continuously improving the organization's use of the system. Key responsibilities include maintaining constituent records; entering and tracking data; executing ticket and merchandise sales; processing and acknowledging gifts and pledges; and preparing reports.
Oversee all incoming donation notifications and gift processing and manage the acknowledgment and tax receipt process for all gifts and pledges. Supervise the work of the outsourced development operations provider.
Prepare regular reports on fundraising performance, cash flow, and other key financial metrics and coordinate monthly KPI reporting for the department.
Oversee prospect research to deliver actionable intelligence for frontline fundraisers to make informed engagement decisions.
Collaborate closely with the Finance team to conduct weekly reconciliations and ensure ongoing data alignment.
Produce and maintain concert sponsorship and donor recognition listings.
Provide project management and operational support across all Development initiatives.
In collaboration with the Patron Experience team, staff the phone queue on an established schedule.
Provide support for H+H concerts and events and serve as an ambassador of the organization in the community.
Recruit, supervise, and mentor interns and volunteers for the department.
Qualifications
A passion for sharing music with all people.
Energy, curiosity, flexibility, willingness to take initiative, and strong enthusiasm for customer service and fundraising.
Bachelor's degree and at least three years of CRM, database management, experience and fundraising administration or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Tessitura is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
Ability to perform in a dynamic work environment, meeting multiple deadlines and managing multiple projects.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, maintaining the highest level of patron confidentiality.
Evening and weekend work is required along with availability to work onsite in the Boston area at H+H concerts.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $80,000
