Charter Solutions
Charter Solutions is hiring an experienced Data Architect to help our client assess their current data ecosystem and provide strategic guidance on data architecture and platform direction. This role focuses on evaluating existing data sources, identifying architectural gaps and risks, and defining a conceptual target‑state data architecture to support future business needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong platform evaluation expertise, including modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, and the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Assess the current data landscape, including core data sources and flows such as POS, inventory, finance, and vendor systems.
Identify current‑state gaps, constraints, technical debt, and architectural risks impacting data scalability, reliability, and usability.
Develop a conceptual, future‑state data architecture that illustrates long‑term direction without performing implementation.
Evaluate data platform options (e.g., Snowflake), considering cost, scalability, operational fit, and organizational readiness.
Document architectural assumptions, dependencies, risks, and recommended sequencing to guide future initiatives.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure recommendations align with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role focused on data strategy and platform architecture.
Strong understanding of modern data platforms, cloud data warehouses, and data integration patterns.
Experience evaluating data platforms with a focus on scalability, cost, and operational fit.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strategic mindset with the ability to assess current‑state environments and define future‑state direction.
