Position Overview Airbus Commercial is looking for a
Supply Chain Quality Manager
to join our Procurement department based in Orange County, CA. The role supports on‑time delivery and quality of composite parts from suppliers and their sub‑tiers, assesses supplier readiness, secures industrial quality performance, and consolidates risk outlook and mitigation actions.
Responsibilities
Work onsite at a supplier site minimum 3 days a week.
Ensure maturity and robustness of supplier’s manufacturing and supply chain processes to avoid supply failures.
Drive continuous improvement of supply‑chain related performances for deliveries of supplied products.
Review supplier capacity and capability to secure ramp‑up periods and Airbus industrial objectives.
Monitor and analyze performance through KPIs; conduct audits, assessments, recovery plans, and risk management.
Initiate and organize supplier ramp‑up capacity assessments to secure planning changes.
Monitor major industrial risks and support design changes from an industrial perspective.
Initiate and follow recovery plans with suppliers when delivery performance degrades.
Manage suppliers’ preventive/corrective action plans to meet expected outcomes.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders such as MFT leaders, Program and Final Assembly Lines, including communication and improvement actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
8+ years professional experience in procurement operations, monitoring, auditing, and supplier development.
Knowledge of quality regulations, APQP, problem‑solving, ISO/IEC standards, QMS, auditing, and risk management (Lean Six Sigma, Green/Black Belt, CPIM desirable).
Valid driver’s license.
Authorization to work in the U.S. required.
