This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an individual eligible to obtain licensure within six months. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structural engineering solutions to a diverse range of industry clients while fostering strong professional relationships.
Opportunity to lead a team of Junior Structural Engineers. The firm has a 30+ year track record of success in the Greater Boston area.
This position requires independent engineering judgment, project management skills, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of structural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and maintain a culture of safety within all engineering activities.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations to ensure successful outcomes.
Lead and collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams, serving in roles ranging from project lead to technical support.
Provide direction to team members in the preparation of structural designs, construction plans, and related documents.
Develop and refine structural concepts, estimate engineering efforts, and effectively communicate strategies to clients and stakeholders.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and evaluations of construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal teams and clients.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support project and company objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in structural engineering.
Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting project demands.
Proficiency in structural design principles, analysis, and applicable codes in both the U.S. and Canada.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
