This is a full-time, on-site role in Nacogdoches, TX, for a Unit Director. The Unit Director will oversee the day-to-day operation of the unit, including supervising staff and volunteers, implementing programs, ensuring safety protocols, and fostering a positive environment for youth development. The Unit Director will also oversee budget management, community partnerships, and membership recruitment, and maintain accurate records to report achievements and outcomes. Building relationships with families, supporters, and the community is an integral part of the job. Qualifications
Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team. Program development and implementation skills, focusing on youth-oriented activities and educational programs. Strong organizational and time management abilities, including budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with youth, families, staff, and community stakeholders. Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle day-to-day challenges effectively. Prior experience in youth services, community development, or a related field is preferred. Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, social work, or a related discipline is highly desired. A passion for working with youth and making a difference in their lives is essential.
