Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
Our client, a private UHNWI is seeking a G-IV Captain to join their aviation team.
Private Family Office: Gulfstream G-IV Captain

Role Overview This position serves as the lead pilot within a privately operated aviation program supporting personal and business travel for a private principal. Operating exclusively under FAA Part 91, the Captain assumes full responsibility for the execution, safety, and operational excellence of flights conducted on a Gulfstream G-IV and a King Air 350.
The role demands superior technical proficiency, international operating experience, and an elevated service mindset. Schedules are dynamic and may require immediate availability. Success in this role requires sound judgment, discretion, adaptability, and comfort operating in a small, highly trusted flight department.
Aircraft Command & Operational Control
Maintain command authority for all assigned flights, prioritizing safety above all operational considerations
Ensure adherence to FAA regulations, internal operating procedures, and recognized aviation best practices
Execute comprehensive preflight planning including routing, fuel strategy, weather analysis, and contingency planning
Perform all flight-related duties across all phases of operation with precision and attention to detail
Retain proficiency and operational readiness across all assigned aircraft
Training, Compliance & Regulatory Readiness
Hold and maintain appropriate Gulfstream and King Air type ratings
Complete required simulator events, recurrent training, and emergency procedures programs
Participate in safety management initiatives and international operations training
Remain informed on evolving regulatory requirements, including oceanic, RVSM, and global airspace protocols
Coordinate domestic and international travel exclusively for private use
Manage flight logistics including permits, landing approvals, slots, and ground services
Liaise with FBOs, handlers, catering providers, and ground transportation partners
Oversee cabin condition and presentation to ensure a seamless onboard experience
Communicate operational updates proactively and professionally
Travel assignments may range from brief domestic missions to extended international itineraries lasting multiple weeks
Maintenance & Fleet Oversight
Partner with maintenance leadership and approved service centers to manage aircraft airworthiness
Track inspection schedules, maintenance actions, and compliance with ADs and service bulletins
Maintain accurate and complete aircraft records and flight documentation
Act as the primary operational contact for maintenance vendors
Support coordinated oversight of both aircraft within the private fleet
All aircraft operations and management are handled internally
Professional Conduct & Confidentiality
Safeguard all information related to passengers, travel, and operations
Represent the aviation program with professionalism, discretion, and composure
Maintain clear communication and level-headed decision-making under changing conditions
Approach challenges with a calm, solutions-focused mindset
Minimum Qualifications
Valid FAA First-Class Medical
Gulfstream G-IV / G300 / G400 type rating (initial training may be provided for exceptional candidates)
King Air 350 (BE-300) type rating
4,000+ hours total flight time
2,000+ hours turbine PIC
500+ hours in type strongly preferred
Demonstrated international operational experience
Prior experience in Part 91 or Part 91K private operations
Clean FAA safety and enforcement record
Ability to reside within a two-hour radius of the Southern California operating base or relocate
Additional Conditions of Employment
Pre-employment drug screening and participation in ongoing FAA/DOT testing programs
Favorable criminal background, credit, and PRIA review
Valid passport with unrestricted international travel authorization
Flexibility to support short-notice departures and extended travel schedules
Typical workload averages 12–18 duty days per month; structured time off established annually
CPR and basic first-aid certification required (or obtained upon hire)
