Job Description
Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of medical affairs initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Lead the generation, interpretation, and dissemination of scientific and clinical data for internal and external stakeholders.
Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and other external stakeholders.
Oversee the planning and execution of medical education programs and scientific communications.
Co‑lead internal cross‑functional meetings across R&D and commercial to support product development and lifecycle management.
Identify Insight Trends: address educational scientific gaps identified through feedback from field sources, compile and summarize to provide insights, and communicate trends to the broader therapeutic team.
Manage and drive key strategic medical projects aligned with the franchise brand plan. Design and execute a tactical plan for pipeline products, including new indications and disease states.
Develop and curate scientific resources and materials to support external scientific communication, including congresses, field medical teams, and educational initiatives such as Congress Booths, Ad Boards, and Med.
Represent the organization at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and other external meetings.
Support lifecycle management for pipeline products and participate in evidence generation planning.
Actively contribute to and drive medical and brand functional planning—including medical education and external engagement—providing strategic input into core brand/product strategies and ensuring alignment with TA and commercial strategies.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in all medical affairs activities.
Qualifications
Scientific degree; advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD/DO, PharmD) preferred.
10+ years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry experience demonstrating strong leadership, team‑building, and global matrixed environment competency. Substantial understanding of relevant therapeutic areas is required.
Knowledge of clinical trial design, results, methodology, and regulatory compliance requirements for promotional and non‑promotional materials is desirable.
Ability to interact externally and internally to support global scientific and business strategy.
Ability to independently evaluate risk and implement strategies that are compliant with applicable regulatory standards related to pharmaceutical promotion.
Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and administrative skills with excellent written and presentation communication abilities.
Flexibility and adaptability to organizational change and market demands, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence.
Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate sound business judgment.
Strong project management and teamwork skills to address project risks and issues.
Ability to influence across functions without direct authority to deliver cross‑functional projects.
