We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Information Systems & Technology to provide professional, technical, and administrative leadership in the direction and effectiveness of the college's information systems. The director will ensure that the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost‑efficient, and strategically sound.
Duties
Direct, manage, and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of administrative and academic computing and technical resources for the college.
Lead and manage the Information Technology and Systems Support unit for the college.
Make recommendations and provide technical support to senior management to perform needs assessment and long‑range planning assistance.
Direct technology‑based operations for the college, including design and administration of college‑wide data networks and communications, classroom technology design and maintenance, database design and support, web server support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Develop, implement, and audit standard operating policies and procedures, ensuring timeliness, quality, documentation, and security of the IT department responsibilities.
Provide technical expertise and leadership to cross‑functional teams coordinating and performing project activities impacting IT within the college.
Supervise college IT staff, graduate assistants, and student assistants.
Responsible for data protection and security.
Evaluate hardware and software.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in management, direction, and support of local area network and related technologies, with at least 3 years at the department/division level.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with server administration.
