Director DevOps Architecture, FFIO Architecture
Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. FFIO is actively seeking a hands‑on DevOps Architect to design and implement automated software development and delivery pipelines, define cloud infrastructure strategy, apply security controls and provide tools and practices to enhance productivity and reliability. Responsibilities
Develop the overall DevOps strategy, select appropriate architecture frameworks, tools, design automated infrastructure & delivery pipelines and patterns. Define cloud environments and implement security best practices, including secure design patterns and compliance controls. Architect and own the implementation of robust, highly scalable solutions to ensure flawless integration, resiliency, and efficient processing. Work closely with architecture, development, operations, and security teams, providing technical leadership and guidance to foster an integrated workflow. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, streamline, and establish best practices for continuous improvement in software delivery. Collaborate and influence enterprise software delivery practices, decisions to ensure offerings are fit for FFIO. Perform architecture reviews and make decisions over technical designs, standards, and strategies related to resilient architecture and testing strategies. Participate in critical problem solving and sophisticated technical, drive resolution to technical issues, lead and perform impact analysis. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in architecture, software design, and development roles. Experience delivering application architectures that integrate multiple systems to achieve business outcomes, with a strong eye for security best practices throughout the design and implementation phases. Experience designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS. Practical knowledge of a broad range of AWS services, including compute, containers, databases, analytics, and security. Hands‑on experience with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes. Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and practices. Experience partnering with product leaders & engineering teams to implement strategy and roadmap. Strong presentation skills: written and verbal communication including the ability to influence and negotiate resolution of issues and conflicts.
