General Statement of Duties To develop principles of fair play, a sense of confidence, and self-discipline through the development and extension of interscholastic competition.
Essential Duties
Prepares players both physically and mentally for interscholastic competition through practice, teaching of fundamental skills, and knowledge of rules.
Supervises the cleaning, storage, and proper care of all equipment.
Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program.
Helps to prepare daily practice schedule and conducts practice sessions.
Attends VHSL clinics.
Follows county financial policies concerning the collection and receipting of funds.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience as a coach or player in the sport for which the candidate is applying.
Evidence of demonstrated ability to manage and support the needs of high‑school student athletes.
Additional Information This assignment is for the 2023-24 SY.
Minimum Salary:
$3,076.09
