Vehicle Integration Technician, Autonomous Vehicles
Location: South San Francisco, CA
Hourly Rate: starting at $30/hr depending on experience
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an Autonomous Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Technician with hands‑on experience in technology, diagnostics, and repair.
5+ years of hands‑on experience with technology, diagnostics, and repair of Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
Experience diagnosing and repairing autonomous electric/hybrid vehicle sensors, cameras, LiDAR, radar, etc.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right‑to‑Know, etc.
2+ Automotive Technician Certifications (ASE or OEM).
Supervisory experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with company standards.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair using schematics and/or diagnostic equipment.
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by our technical team.
Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicate with shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Document all work performed and recommended on the work order.
Road‑test vehicles when required or refer to the shop foreman.
Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins/recalls.
Supervise work of other technicians and provide guidance and mentorship to them.
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Notify shop foreman immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keep the shop area neat and clean.
Maintain and be accountable for all company‑owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Report any safety issues immediately to leadership.
