Job Description:
L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Lead Reliability and System Safety Engineer to join our Redmond, WA office. The role focuses on reliability and system safety work for In‑Space chemical and electrical propulsion products.
Responsibilities
Apply advanced techniques to meet program needs while supporting execution. Promote reliability and system safety throughout the enterprise and direct work within the discipline as a key customer interface.
Provide expertise to less experienced engineers across programs. Lead technical reviews of reliability and systems safety analysis, failure investigations, and proposal efforts. Identify and lead discipline initiatives and coordination meetings.
Document work in digital systems, reports, and presentations. Present results to large, diverse audiences including customers and industry experts.
Create training on cutting‑edge reliability and system safety processes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Additional Skills
Reliability Engineering coursework or experience.
Liquid rocket engine knowledge and experience.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role in Washington is $108,000 – $201,500. In California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington, the range is $125,000 – $232,000. Final offer may vary based on experience and location. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company‑paid holidays.
