The Prime Video Experience & Technology (PVXT) team is the technical backbone of Amazon Prime Video's global streaming service, powering the delivery of movies, TV shows, live sports, and linear content across thousands of device types and many platforms. It manages the core infrastructure that enables customers to discover/search content, stream, download, and access both VOD and live content, including exclusive sports rights and channel subscriptions like Paramount+ and NBA League Pass. PVXT drives innovation across signal acquisition, video encoding and playback, client experiences, availability, video delivery via the internet, scaling technologies, DevOps tooling, content protection, privacy, and anti‑piracy/fraud. With hundreds of engineers worldwide, it is responsible for the product definition, development, and operations that ensure seamless storefront and streaming experiences for hundreds of millions of customers. As Prime Video continues to expand its global footprint, PVXT scales the service across multiple dimensions including geographic regions, devices, content offerings, and user sessions, while maintaining high performance and reliability. The team is also responsible for AI‑powered marketing automation for PV globally.
Key Job Responsibilities PVXT is currently expanding its team and projects in Bengaluru, spanning across X‑Ray, playback services, live technologies, player and client testing and other foundational technologies. It is looking for a PE who can play the role of a tech leader, provide technology oversight, and help build a culture of engineering and operational excellence. The PE will also closely work with other global Prime Video teams to better understand the overall end‑to‑end tech stack and provide the needed engineering and architecture guidance that fits into the overall PV vision and architecture.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years' experience in software development
Experience in designing and building large‑scale distributed systems
Experience as a hands‑on practitioner using AI, including GenAI coding and workflow for analysis and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications
Domain expertise in client technologies and video technologies is an advantage but not required
