Opportunity Overview

Our product integration and verification group is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Hardware Verification Engineering Manager with a background in digital and high‑speed serial hardware, software, and product verification. This is a “hands‑on” working manager leading a team of up to six engineers focused on developing custom test hardware and software solutions to verify the functionality and performance of Teradyne’s state of the art new products. As part of the product development organization, you and your team will integrate across all development functions (HW, SW, Firmware, Mechanical etc.) as well as the new product introduction team to successfully bring our new products to market.

In this role, you will:

Lead and be responsible for the product verification aspect of new product development, from concept through production release. This includes cross‑functional planning, execution, tracking, reporting, mid‑course corrections etc. to successfully bring new products to market that meet customer requirements for functionality, performance, and reliability.

Provide functional and technical leadership to your team of engineers developing custom product verification solutions. Actively guide, and mentor your team in the development of test concepts, detailed test plans, custom hardware design solutions such as PCBAs and robotics, and software development.

Champion the advancement of new test and measurement technologies, setting the long‑term strategy and technical roadmap for the team, and launching proof of concept initiatives.

Maintaining and fostering a collaborative cross‑functional team environment focused on product success across all engineering functions.

Maintaining and building a high performing team, including hiring, mentoring, as well as motivating and providing learning and growth opportunities.

Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline; Masters degree preferred.

5+ years of direct management experience

Demonstrated experience in the development of digital and high‑speed serial automated verification test solutions and techniques.

Experience with C/C++ and/or C# programming. Experience with Agile software development is preferred.

Full product life cycle experience from concept stage to product release. Manufacturing and customer support is a plus.

Strong organizational and project management skills, PMP certification is a plus.

Ability to lead and motivate others, communicating vision, setting goals and objectives, monitoring metrics and progress, and empowering the team to be successful.

Ability to set clear direction and priorities, organize activities, and lead the team to hit project and product objectives.

Demonstrated experience building and developing high‑performing teams.

Strong ability to work cross‑functionally, able to work with others on shared objectives and work quickly and collaboratively to solve problems and overcome challenges.

Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at various levels of abstraction and provide periodic updates to senior managers, directors, and vice‑presidents.

This position is located at our Agoura Hills, CA development center. It will require a minimum of 4 days/week on‑site.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $151,800—$242,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
