Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a – 4:30 p
On-Call Shift Schedule: Evenings, nights, and weekends as assigned

Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 30–40 patients shared; 20–23 patients per provider per day
Admissions: Yes
Rounding: Included
Phone Consults: Included as part of call coverage
Case Mix: Inpatient hematology and oncology with focus on malignant hematology; medical oncology and solid tumor care; infusion services
Facility Information
Hospital Beds: 590‑bed
EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment: Standard inpatient and infusion center resources
Specialty Backup: Oncology and hematology subspecialty support
Support Staff: Advanced Practice Provider support during daytime inpatient coverage
Reason for Coverage: Ongoing staffing need within Allina Health float pool
Privileges & Compliance
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Temporary Privileges: Available with active license and clean background
Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days with active MN license; up to 120 days if licensure is needed
Compensation & Benefits
Call Rates: Separate call back, night call, and 24‑hour call rates apply
Orientation: 4 hours non‑billable
Malpractice Insurance: Covered

Inpatient malignant hematology management
Medical oncology and solid tumor care
Infusion oversight and coverage
Job Requirements
Active Minnesota medical license (required for quick start); IMLC accepted
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLSExperience: Minimum 2 years of hematology/oncology experience
Other Qualifications: Ability to manage inpatient oncology and hematology patients independently; willingness to take call coverage
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide inpatient hematology and oncology care with emphasis on malignant hematology
Manage medical oncology and solid tumor patients
Participate in scheduled clinical coverage and on‑call responsibilities
Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams
Ensure accurate, timely documentation within the Epic EMR system
