Data Center Site Selection Manager - Leasing . This role focuses on locating, developing, and managing Meta’s leading‑edge data center infrastructure. Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates the most efficient data centers in the world. The Site Selection Manager is responsible for negotiating large, complex leasing deals and ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, and cost efficiency. Base pay range: $152,000/year to $221,000/year Responsibilities
Lead data center acquisition and lease contracting negotiations. Perform technical due diligence and validate site viability across energy, land, and more. Manage supplier relationships and best practices. Perform market analysis and develop leasing site selection strategy. Stay informed of the technical, market, and regulatory developments in the data center industry. Contribute to organizational strategy and development of leasing standards at Meta. Travel domestically (10–25% at times). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental, or energy related discipline. 8+ years experience facilitating, evaluating, or managing data center capacity projects. Experience leading large scale data center lease negotiations. Experience working with detailed financial models of data center projects and transactions, identifying key risks and sensitivities, and leading all related due diligence efforts. Experience collaborating across multiple internal functions, including legal, compliance, finance, and accounting. Experience representing business interests to leadership teams of potential suppliers, strategic markets, energy suppliers, and other stakeholders. Proven precise communication skills. Experience synthesizing commercial, regulatory, market, and contractual details to all organizational levels. Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal staff, lease providers, and external stakeholders. Proficiency in standard document and analytics platforms. Proven track record building and running leasing programs. Familiarity with various lease structures (Modified Gross, NNN, YoC, etc.).
