ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Advising on trust and fiduciary matters, including review of trust documents and prospective relationships and legal matters affecting fiduciary accounts.
Working with outside counsel, client counsel and internal management on a broad range of matters, including trust and fiduciary, investment/securities, real estate, litigation, employment, HR and regulatory issues.
Participating in compliance and regulatory functions.
Reviewing and drafting corporate documents and analyzing corporate contracts and transactions.
Participating in business development activities.
Ad hoc responsibilities, as required.
DESIRED CREDENTIALS/EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
Legal qualification (JD) and current membership in CA state bar
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, including experience in house and/or at a law firm with highly regarded trust and estate, fiduciary, investment banking expertise.
Strong background in advising on fiduciary activities, including trust administration.
Excellent analytical skills and judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of management team.
Ability to evaluate and develop strategies for resolving legal risks and implications.
Ability to balance and effectively handle numerous priorities.
Membership in California state bar.

COMPENSATION A competitive base salary, performance bonus, and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, and 401(k) with company match. Base salary range: $180,000 – $300,000.
