Overview Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. In this role you will develop software for an advanced satellite broadband telecom service, building secure communications and strong authentication to protect our customers and the Kuiper constellation.

Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain mission‑critical security systems for the Kuiper constellation and customer terminals. • Build services around public key infrastructure, certificate management, and identity management. • Deploy, operate, and continuously improve security features for satellite communications, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A Day in the Life As part of Kuiper Trust Services, you will protect customer data and Kuiper devices. Your work will involve designing solutions for security and privacy, focusing on PKI (public key infrastructure), encryption, cryptography, key management, and secure device provisioning.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.

2+ years of non‑internship design or architecturedesign patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.

Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Export Control Requirement: U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee, or asylum status.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Knowledge of security technology and concepts (authentication, authorization, single sign‑on, cryptography, etc.).

Experience with Java, C++, or other programming languages.

Compensation & Benefits The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
