Hospitalist Physician – UPMC Jamestown, NY
We are seeking a full‑time Hospitalist to join UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, NY. The hospital serves the region with advanced medical technology and a broad array of services.
Position Overview
Location: UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off block schedule
Shift: 12‑hour (7 a.m.–7 p.m.)
Visa sponsorship: J‑1 & H‑1B
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus sign‑on bonus, retention incentive, productivity incentive, CME funding, and full benefits package.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient hospitalist care for open ICU (no procedures required).
Manage ventilator patient care and other acute medical needs.
Answer codes and rapid response calls.
Assist with admissions in partnership with APP and intensivist coverage Monday–Friday 8:00‑4:00 p.m.
Maintain an average daily census of 16 patients (excluding new admissions) and 2–3 admissions per day.
Qualifications
MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
Unrestricted New York Medical License and required credentials.
DEA certification.
Proficiency in ventilator management and patient‑centered care.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
