Role Overview Arm is seeking an experienced and hands-on Health & Safety Program Manager to develop and lead comprehensive safety and operational programs for Arm’s data center labs and facilities. This role is responsible for establishing electrical and operational safety frameworks, authoring and maintaining critical procedures, implementing equipment management systems, and deploying scalable training programs to support safe and efficient operations.
You will partner closely with engineering, facilities, and compliance teams to embed safety into all aspects of lab and datacenter operations, ensuring Arm meets or exceeds industry standards while enabling innovation at speed and scale.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Safety Program Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive Electrical Safety Policy aligned with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
Define and maintain a PPE Requirements Matrix.
Establish and lead a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program for energized systems.
Lab Operations & Procedures
Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical lab operations.
Develop Equipment Qualification Protocols and Emergency Response Procedures.
Partner with Facilities and Engineering to integrate safety into all operational workflows.
Near-Miss and Incident Management
Establish a near-miss and accident reporting system to collect, track, and analyze safety events.
Conduct root-cause analyses and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain visibility of all incidents and safety observations, ensuring lessons learned are communicated across teams.
Internal Audit & Compliance
Maintain readiness for internal and external audits.
Track compliance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with global HSE, Security, and Compliance teams to align standards and procedures.
Training & Competency Development
Develop and deploy training and certification programs across teams and sites.
Deliver onboarding and refresher safety training for technical staff and contractors.
Coordinate with other compliance functions to ensure unified safety training delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Safety), Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of professional experience in technical or industrial environments.
5+ years working in high-power electrical systems in data centers, semiconductor, or engineering lab settings.
Proven success in developing and implementing safety management systems and incident reporting frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to author and maintain technical SOPs and operational documentation.
Experience managing liquid cooling systems, high-voltage safety, and DC power operations.
