**Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team based in Kinston, NC.

*The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

*Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
* May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
* May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following:
* to assemble and install to quality requirements parts and assemblies.
* Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate assembly progression.
* Setup and perform all manual and automated assembly operations, and portable machine functions required to accomplish assignments.
* Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change in corporation, functional testing or check during or after final assembly and/or assembly progression
* Move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, etc.
* Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors in parts, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
* where applicable, replacing machine filters, changing standard light bulbs on machines and equipment, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels, etc. Routinely move product within the immediate manufacturing work area, including across isle, using shop assigned equipment as required, and complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation. On an exception basis, move product to the next operation within a building.
* Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting other employees.
* Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
* Training and certification will be provided for the additional work when required.
*.Must be willing and able to work any shift.
* Daily able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. • Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. • Carrying: Several times a week able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. • Several times a week able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. • Several times a week able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. • Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. • Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents) and able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. • Personal Protective Equipment required: Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flightline and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces. • Able to operate moving platforms, hydraulic lifts and forklifts.
