Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Otolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) for a full-time locum tenens opportunity beginning August 2025. This role requires a minimum of 2 weeks of availability per month, with preference for candidates able to provide continuous 24/7 call coverage during those weeks.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 24-hour call coverage (ER, established patients, consults) for 2 consecutive weeks per month.
- Perform ENT-related surgeries and procedures.
- Support full-spectrum ENT clinic care, including post-op and acute care visits.
- Perform inpatient consults and manage post-operative care.
- Participate in outpatient clinic and procedure days.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
- Clinic Days: 3-5 days/week
- Shift Length: 24 hours
- Clinic Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Procedure/OR Day: Friday
- Call Coverage: 24/7, 2 weeks back-to-back per month (Required)
- Team: 1 Physician, 0 APPs
- Support: 2:1 Nursing and Ancillary Staff Ratio
- Exam Rooms: 3 per provider + procedure rooms
- On-site Services:
- Audiology
- Medical Imaging
- Lab & Pharmacy
- Daily Clinic Volume: 15-25 patients
- Appointment Length: 15 minutes
- Patient Population: Adults (male & female)
- Demographics: Urban and rural mix; college town population
- Basic ENT clinical care
- Ear cleaning, post-op care, acute visits
- Nasopharyngeal scopes
- Direct laryngoscopies
- Basic ENT surgeries (e.g., ear tubes, tonsillectomies)
- Biopsies
- Board Certified in Otolaryngology - REQUIRED
- Fellowship Trained (ENT) - REQUIRED
- Active IA Medical License or Active IMLC - REQUIRED
- Minimum of 5 years of post-training experience - REQUIRED
- Availability to start August 18, 2025 - REQUIRED
- Minimum Availability: At least 2 full weeks/month
