Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring ACLS, NIH certification, and North Carolina or compact RN licensure.
Responsibilities Work in a 36-bed Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry unit Typical patient ratios are 5:1 or 6:1 on days and up to 7:1 at night Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Standard Med/Surg equipment is used Electronic Medical Record system is Cerner Floating required to other med/surg units as needed Required to work every other weekend Daily responsibilities include neurological assessment, monitoring, and care of medical/surgical and telemetry patients New staff receive a reference book at orientation Outgoing, self-motivated personalities are a strong fit for this unit Scrub color required is navy blue US Social Security Number and date of birth are required for consideration No housing expense provided for this contract
Requirements Active NC or compact RN license Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required Minimum of 1 year of recent neuro, med/surg, or telemetry RN experience Ability to perform Foley insertion and IV starts No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
