What We're Looking For
Cross River’s Enterprise Risk team is looking for a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Third-Party Risk Management to continue leading our enterprise-wide efforts in managing third-party risks across the organization. This role will continue to shape and influence our TPRM strategy across multiple functions and business areas, lead an international team, and engage with key stakeholder groups across the enterprise to ensure a strong, proactive approach to managing risks associated with third-party relationships.
This role is ideal for a fintech leaning industry thought leader who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, and is passionate about driving innovation in enterprise risk practices while maintaining a solutions oriented, business minded approach. This role reports directly to the Head ERM & TPRM.

Responsibilities:
Third-Party Risk Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor and effective challenger on business and risk domain activities across the TPRM lifecycle in alignment with Group Policies and Frameworks.
- Influence key stakeholder groups to drive implementation of key/strategic initiatives to meet enterprise and functional objectives.
- Execute required governance and reporting requirements driven by Policy, Procedure, management, and/or Board level committees.
- Translate emerging risk trends into relevant insights for key stakeholders to contribute to enterprise-wide risk awareness and training efforts.
- Stay current on TPRM best practices and industry benchmarks and be able to tailor approach based on internal business model and overall enterprise risk appetite statement.
- Lead team within the ERM and TPRM function fostering a collaborative, pragmatic, solution oriented, and high performance culture.
- Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by identifying skill building opportunities and mentor emerging leaders within the function.
- Manage team resources and prioritize workloads to ensure effective coverage of enterprise initiatives, regulatory requirements, and change initiatives related to evolving regulatory guidance, internal transformation efforts, or shifts in business strategy impacting third-party risk.
- Represent the Third-Party Risk function in senior-level forums, and collaborate with executive leaders to influence risk culture, policy development, and strategic decision-making.
- Support the function by setting strategic direction for third-party risk team in alignment with enterprise risk objective, and ensure effective execution of goals, initiatives, and key deliverables.
- Navigate complex risk scenarios by applying a solution-oriented approach that aligns business objectives with sound risk management and ensure holistic risk assessments drive actionable outcomes.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Enterprise Risk, Third-Party Risk, or other risk management experience within financial services or Fintech
- BA/BS Degree, advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations related to third-party risk across multiple disciplines
- Demonstrated experience in Executive and Board level risk reporting
- Policy and Procedure writing is a must
- Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional collaboration skills and a desire to work as part of a high-performance team
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Results oriented, ability to meet deadlines and meet competing deadlines
- Integrity, ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills
