CNC Vertical Operator Opportunity

Aerospace company near Yorba Linda is hiring CNC Vertical Operators! The Vertical Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, producing components to specification that support the assembly of aerospace latches for customer delivery.

$25 - $32/hr 3:00pm - 2:30am + OT Mon - Fri + Sat OT. Must be open to OT.

Essential Duties
  • Set up and operate Vertical Milling Machines (3 to 4 axes) in a production environment to produce parts according to specifications outlined in blueprints, dimensional data sheets, and work order packages.
  • Review the daily schedule (Dispatch List) to determine job priorities for the day.
  • Check, maintain, lubricate, and degrease production machines and equipment.
  • Start set-ups and adjust tooling according to CNC programs to meet required specifications.
  • Load parts for machining and perform periodic quality checks for conformance to specifications and planning documents.
  • Inspect and ensure quality of own parts, verifying they meet correct specifications in accordance with blueprints and dimensional data sheets.
  • Work under limited supervision.
Education and/or Experience Required
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
  • 3 to 6 years of on-the-job machine shop experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using basic measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
  • Programming knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Must comply with U.S. export control regulations and be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Work in a factory environment with exposure to dirt, heat, grit, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust.
  • Requires close hand-eye coordination and high manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, push, pull, use foot controls, perform repetitive hand motions, grasp, and use fine dexterity.
  • Occasionally lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
