As a key member of the MGA Operations team, your primary responsibility will be to support the MGA in achieving its production goals. You will play a critical role in optimizing and maintaining operational efficiency across workflows. This includes collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to improve processes, managing our remote support team, ensuring accurate and consistent documentation, and providing timely support for daily operational inquiries. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. Tangram will consider remote candidates as well as local talent in the Northern Bay Area. The ideal candidate must have experience with MGA Operations, admitted lines of coverage including Auto, General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Umbrella/Excess, and Workers Compensation.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Process Mapping & DocumentationDevelop and maintain initial drafts of swim lane process layouts for all workflows.Create and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure process clarity and consistency.Team Collaboration & ImprovementConduct team shadowing to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.Serve as a liaison between internal teams and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) partners, ensuring alignment and operational efficiency.Manage virtual assistant (VA) team activities, including workload coordination and performance review.Workflow Performance AnalysisReview and assess average handling times across workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization.Operational SupportServe as a point of contact for daily process-related questions, offering guidance and solutions to internal teams.Partner with Client Services to manage audit and billing activities with carrier partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Manage the reconciliation of bordereaux data to maintain accurate financial reporting.Supports team and program(s) to reach production goal(s)Special projects as assignedREQUIREMENTS:3-6 years of proven experience in MGA or Carrier operations or related fieldStrong knowledge of process documentation and workflow design tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).Experience with package lines of coverage: Auto, General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Umbrella/Excess, and Workers Compensation.Project management experienceStrong personal initiative, ability to work independentlySolid computer skills and adaptation to new technologies and workflowsExcellent communication and collaboration skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to work in a teamPositive attitude towards customer service and relationship managementEffective analytical and logical reasoning abilitiesOrganizational skills and ability to solve problems and multitaskDesire to have fun and engage with the teamCOMPENSATION:The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
