About the Role:
We’re seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help inspect, repair, and maintain critical equipment and facilities that support wastewater operations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical systems and a passion for keeping operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform daily inspections of buildings, machinery, and equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, blowers, conveyors, filters, hydraulic presses, and more
- Carry out welding, grinding, and fabrication for custom equipment repairs
- Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial wastewater sampling devices
- Assist with carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general facility upkeep
- Maintain and repair plant vehicles and equipment
- Operate automotive equipment as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (including IEP diploma) and one of the following:
- Option A: Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or related technical field from an accredited college
- Option B: At least 2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical equipment
- Option C: A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above
Special Requirement:
- Must hold a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the vehicles operated
Salary:
- $31.49 per hour
