About the Role:

We’re seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help inspect, repair, and maintain critical equipment and facilities that support wastewater operations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical systems and a passion for keeping operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform daily inspections of buildings, machinery, and equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, blowers, conveyors, filters, hydraulic presses, and more
  • Carry out welding, grinding, and fabrication for custom equipment repairs
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial wastewater sampling devices
  • Assist with carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general facility upkeep
  • Maintain and repair plant vehicles and equipment
  • Operate automotive equipment as needed

Note: This list includes representative duties and may be expanded to include similar tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (including IEP diploma) and one of the following:

  • Option A: Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or related technical field from an accredited college
  • Option B: At least 2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical equipment
  • Option C: A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above

Special Requirement:

  • Must hold a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the vehicles operated

Salary:

  • $31.49 per hour
