Sales Operations Analyst
The Sales Operations Analyst is a key support role bridging sales analysis and operations. This position is responsible for interpreting raw sales data, developing actionable insights, generating reports, and assisting in the implementation of sales processes and tools to improve performance. The role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring operational efficiency within the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze raw sales data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, Excel reports, etc.) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Create, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc sales reports and dashboards to internal stakeholders.
- Support sales forecasting, territory planning, and quota setting using historical data and business insights.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align data reporting and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue performance, pipeline health, and customer activity.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of sales tools, CRM platforms, and reporting systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in CRM and related databases through audits and cleanup efforts.
- Ability to leverage understanding of SQC principles to articulate the quality benefits of our products/services to potential customers
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve sales strategies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, data analytics, or related field (MBA)
- 4+ years of experience in a Sales Analyst, Sales Operations, or similar data-focused rolepreferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and how they integrate with sales functions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry sales cycles and distribution channels.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data query languages is a plus.
