The Production Supervisor is a member of the Manufacturing Production Team. They will lead the development, implementation and application of Tesla's Production System. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in the implementation and application of production systems in a manufacturing environment. They must have a broad background with the ability to work with engineering, production associates, quality, and suppliers across a wide variety of issues/ corrective actions identified in production and field performance. Develop & maintain Standardized Work Instructions used in production by the production associates
* Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with Manufacturing Process Engineers
* Develop training programs and hire plans for production associates
* Support of control plans to ensure critical features are controlled through the production process
* Manage production associates and develop the team structures used in the Tesla Factory
* Ensure quality standards are met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area
Welding experience preferred and a thorough knowledge of high-volume production systems and processes
* Experience managing teams of people in a production environment and hiring in and developing new team members in a production environment
* Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques
* Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
* Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
