Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Machinist based in Bakersfield, CA. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of machining tools, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring quality control, and maintaining equipment. Daily tasks will include machining parts to precise specifications, performing routine maintenance on machinery, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and setting up machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Experience in performing quality control checks to ensure parts meet specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certification or technical training in machining is preferred
- Prior experience in the oil and energy industry is a plus
