Job DescriptionJob Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remodeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and remodeling, with expertise in project coordination and management. This role involves working on various remodeling projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest QUALITY standards. The Remodeler will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals effectively. Delivering exceptional results that meet or exceed client expectations. Oversee remodeling projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Coordinate with construction teams and subcontractors on-site to facilitate smooth operations. Utilize construction management software for project tracking and documentation. Prepare detailed construction estimates and manage contracts effectively. Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project progress and any changes. Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Project Planning & Pre-Construction: Review project scope, blueprints, and specifications with sales and design teams. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules (e.g., Gantt charts). Estimate material and labor costs accurately and create comprehensive budgets. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities. Source and pre-qualify subcontractors and suppliers.Execution & On-Site Management: Oversees the daily operations of construction sites, managing labor, communication with subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring work progresses according to plan. Deals directly with the day-to-day management and problem-solving on the construction site. Schedule and coordinate the work of in-house crews and subcontractors. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols. Scheduling and coordinating tasks to ensure timely completion Anticipating delays and implementing contingency plans or change orders to keep the building project on track Troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts that arise during construction.Client Communication & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project. Provide regular, proactive updates on project status, progress, and any potential delays or changes. Address client concerns or questions promptly and professionally. Manage client expectations regarding timelines, costs, and scope. Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and motivate project teams, including carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades. Conduct regular meetings with team members and subcontractors to discuss progress, issues, and upcoming tasks. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Project Closeout: Oversee final inspections and punch list completion. Ensure all necessary documentation (e.g., warranties, permits) is provided to the client. Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.What You’ll Bring Technical Skills: Proficiency with project management software Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings. Familiarity with estimating and budgeting software.Soft Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Customer-service oriented with a professional demeanor. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines. Proven experience in remodeling or construction management is required. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. A strong understanding of construction site safety practices is essential. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management within residential remodeling. Experience working in the actual trades in the past years.
