We are currently hiring a Senior Warehouse Manager
The Senior Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, food safety compliance, labor management, and continuous process improvement. This leader ensures that the warehouse operates at optimal efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, cleanliness, and safety in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

We are currently hiring a Senior Warehouse Manager
The Senior Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, food safety compliance, labor management, and continuous process improvement. This leader ensures that the warehouse operates at optimal efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, cleanliness, and safety in a fast-paced food distribution environment.
- Provide daily leadership and strategic direction to warehouse manager, supervisors, leads, and hourly employees.
- Monitor and manage all warehouse functions including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, order picking, and inventory rotation.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, USDA guidelines, HACCP programs, and company policies.
- Implement and maintain best practices in cold storage and perishable goods handling.
- Oversee labor scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels, minimize overtime, and support productivity goals.
- Partner with HR on hiring, training, coaching, disciplinary action, and employee development.
- Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and production departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate inventory levels.
- Track key KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, shrink, fill rate, downtime, pick efficiency) and provide regular performance reports.
- Lead warehouse improvement initiatives, including equipment upgrades, layout optimization, and system enhancements.
- Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance and timely repairs.
- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture through training and accountability.
- Provide backup coverage and hands-on support as needed across warehouse functions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse or distribution center management, preferably in food manufacturing or cold chain logistics.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, USDA, GMP).
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and basic Excel reporting. Canopy experience is a plus!
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate warehouse teams.
- Ability to work in a cold environment and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a strong plus.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
