Job Title: Host
Job Overview: We are seeking a warm, organized, and service-oriented Host to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a team environment, and possesses strong communication skills to ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, creating an inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using Tock, or other reservation systems.
- Maintain an organized and efficient seating plan to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant flow.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members to ensure smooth coordination and excellent service.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally and promptly.
- Monitor the dining room to anticipate guest needs and respond proactively.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house areas.
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with tasks as needed.
- Uphold the standards and values of fine dining hospitality at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Possess or be willing to obtain ServSafe and BASSET certifications before the employment start date.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Maintains a positive attitude and displays a genuine desire to help others.
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous fine dining hosting experience and familiarity with Open Table is preferred but not required.
