About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled D365 Technical Lead with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Azure integration services, and enterprise data management. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong architectural knowledge and implementation experience across complex ERP and integration landscapes.

Essential Functions
- Lead technical architecture, design, and implementation of solutions on Dynamics 365 F&O
- Design, build, and deploy integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, and related services
- Develop and customize D365 F&O features using X++, extensions, SSRS, and data entities
- Define and implement data migration strategies, working with DIXF/DMF, SQL, and legacy system integrations
- Create technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and deployment plans in accordance with best practices
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards across the team
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization of D365 environments and Azure integration pipelines
- Collaborate with functional and solution architects to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of complex technical solutions
- Act as a key technical contact for the client, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables and stakeholder confidence
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics AX / D365 F&O technical development
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid)
- Strong proficiency in X++, SSRS, data entities, extensions, and D365 development tools
- Solid experience in designing and executing data migrations and integrations with external systems
- Understanding of ALM processes in D365 including package management and DevOps pipelines
- Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing Azure-based integrations
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a pluS
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and teams
- Contractor role - remote with occasional travel to the client site in Utah
- Microsoft certifications in D365 and/or Azure are preferred
- Prior experience in technical lead roles or consulting is highly desirable
