Driver Responsibilities
- Operate diesel-powered tractor-trailers for store deliveries
- Follow designated routes to store locations
- Load and unload products with store staff assistance
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues
- Keep accurate driver logs and records as per DOT and company requirements
- Adhere to safe driving and load securing protocols
- Perform backhauls when necessary upon completion of routes
- Work in various weather conditions and cold environments (cooler/freezer)
- Uphold the company’s safety, cleanliness, and performance standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving tractor-trailers
- Ability to lift and manage cases weighing 50-75 lbs
- Strong communication skills and capability to maintain positive relationships with customers and peers
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be adept at entering and exiting tractor units frequently, even in confined spaces
- Proficiency in English as per FMCSA regulations to engage with the public, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate records
