About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance with a specialized BDC investment strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key activities, including the review and reconciliation of financial filings, leading the development and execution of SOX control frameworks, and analyzing complex investment products within the portfolio. The role also involves aligning fund accounting with various teams, ensuring proper NAV calculation, managing month-end close processes, and overseeing capital activity tracking. The VP of Finance will be a critical part of the team, driving the audit and quarterly review process, and supporting senior leadership with internal reporting and special initiatives.
Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a CPA designation or be in the process of obtaining one, with a strong preference for those with a Big 4 background. A minimum of 8-12 years' of relevant experience is required, with at least 3-4 years' in public accounting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEC reporting, BDC structures, and SOX requirements, as well as a proven track record in handling debt instruments and Level 3 assets. Familiarity with third-party administrators and financial systems is essential, along with a strong technical grasp of GAAP, Reg S-X, and investment company accounting rules. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are also necessary for this role.
