About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of the Water Board. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's mission by ensuring the efficient operation of its business and administrative functions. This includes aligning budget, procurement, administration, and technology priorities with strategic goals, managing a substantial annual expense budget and capital plan, and overseeing a wide range of financial and administrative operations. The Chief of Staff will also be responsible for driving change management and performance improvement initiatives, managing large data sets, and coordinating interagency communications on behalf of the CFO.

Applicants for the Chief of Staff position must meet the minimum qualifications of a master's degree in a relevant field or a baccalaureate degree with four years of professional experience, including at least 18 months in an executive, managerial, administrative, or supervisory capacity. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to distill complex information, and experience in a similar strategic or project management role. Familiarity with the structure and processes of government, particularly in the area of budgeting and procurement, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, be Project Management Professional certified, and have experience with financial or performance management platforms.
