About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to spearhead its philanthropic strategy and lead a dynamic development team. The CDO will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-year development strategy that is in line with the organization's mission and strategic goals. This includes driving the achievement of annual revenue targets across various channels, such as major gifts, institutional funding, and corporate partnerships. The successful candidate will also be tasked with campaign management, including the leadership of ambitious, multi-year donor campaigns, and will be expected to cultivate a culture of gratitude through personalized donor outreach and recognition.

The ideal CDO for the company will have a proven track record in fundraising, with at least 10 years' experience and a history of securing significant philanthropic support. They must be adept at campaign and donor engagement strategy, with the ability to design and implement integrated, multi-channel fundraising campaigns. The role requires a visionary leader with a mission-driven perspective, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. The CDO will also be responsible for team leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring that fundraising practices reflect the organization's values of equity, dignity, and inclusivity. Advanced proficiency in CRM and data intelligence is essential, as is the ability to align fundraising efforts with the broader organizational strategy.
