About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide strategic and operational leadership for all physician-related activities. The CMO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, with a primary focus on ensuring the safety, quality, and professionalism of the medical staff. This role is pivotal in the integration and coordination of clinical services to achieve the highest standards of patient-centered outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical leadership, including the development and deployment of process improvement methods, and will oversee the medical education and ongoing professional practice evaluation of the medical staff. Collaboration with other physician leaders and a commitment to fostering a culture of interprofessional teamwork are essential.

Candidates for the CMO position at the company should hold an MD or DO degree with board certification, and a medical license in the state of NJ. An MBA, MPH, or equivalent is preferred, along with at least 10 years of experience in leading clinical and quality programs within an acute care hospital or health system. The CMO will also be involved in physician and advanced practice provider oversight, central medical staff office collaboration, and will play a significant role in promoting health equity and leading quality improvement initiatives. The role requires a strong background in research and innovation, as well as the ability to manage financial resources and align with the company's goals. The ideal candidate will be a champion for continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and the optimization of clinical processes to enhance patient care.
