About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Preclinical Research and Development to lead the strategic and scientific aspects of preclinical R&D for its innovative therapeutic pipeline. The successful candidate will be a key member of the R&D leadership team, responsible for defining and executing the preclinical strategy that advances the company's drug candidates from early discovery through IND and NDA-enabling studies. This role requires a deep expertise in drug discovery, efficacy models, pharmacology, toxicology, biomarkers, and translational science, as well as a proven ability to build and lead high-performing scientific teams in a fast-paced biotech environment. The VP will also be involved in regulatory support, program oversight, and team leadership, and will be expected to ensure that all preclinical activities meet scientific, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Applicants for the VP of Preclinical Research and Development position at the company should hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have at least 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on preclinical drug development.
