About the Role
The Company is seeking a Division Chief of Hematology and Oncology to lead the alignment of the division's goals with the strategic plans of the School of Medicine and the Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and collaborative physician leader, responsible for fostering a unified approach to clinical, academic, and research excellence. This role involves developing an innovative strategic vision for the division, ensuring its continued leadership in basic science, translational and clinical research, education, and cutting-edge clinical care. The Chief will also play a key role in the growth of the cancer program across the region, with a focus on care delivery, research, and education.
Applicants for the Division Chief position must have an MD/DO degree, with completion of postgraduate medical education in an ACGME-approved residency and fellowship program, and current Board certification in hematology and/or medical oncology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, the ability to set a vision, and a commitment to advancing a collaborative culture. They should be adept at managing, mentoring, and developing a team of medical oncologists and advanced practitioners, and have a strong background in clinical practice, quality, and patient safety. The role requires the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with various stakeholders to support the institution's vision for hematology and medical oncology care.
