5G Log Analysis Engineer (Seattle, WA)
Job Overview: We are seeking a
Modem Test & Log Analysis Engineer
to support
log analysis ,
field certification , and
lab IoT
activities for major U.S. carriers including
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Dish . This role requires strong technical expertise in LTE/5G modem technologies, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing field and IoT tests, analyzing failure logs, planning innovative test cases, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve critical performance and protocol issues in a fast-paced environment.
This is a contract role and does not support C2C.
What you will be doing as a 5G Log Analysis Engineer Support
log analysis
for field certification, performance testing, and lab IoT activities across multiple U.S. carriers. Lead
IoT and field test execution , analyze failure logs, and drive issue resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Plan and design
innovative test scenarios
to identify critical modem issues and performance bottlenecks. Define and monitor
KPIs
to enhance modem performance, focusing on
LTE
and
5G (NSA/SA)
technologies. Generate and deliver
executive-level reports
highlighting project status, test results, and escalation of critical issues.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a 5G Log Analysis Engineer Bachelors degree
in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with
5+ years
of relevant experience, or
Masters degree
with
2+ years
of experience. Strong expertise in
modem protocol stack layers : L1, MAC, RRC, and PDCP for LTE/5G. Deep understanding of
5G NR NSA/SA
and
Satellite technologies
including
NB-NTN ,
Direct-to-Cell , and
NR-NTN . Solid understanding of
IMS protocol
and
VoWiFi call flows . Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve
end-to-end system performance and functional issues
in collaboration with software teams. 23 years
of hands-on experience with
mobile device testing and failure analysis
during IoT or field testing. Experience with
PDC ,
F4L , and
DFIT
test scenarios. Familiarity with
U.S. chipset and carrier certification processes .
Preferred skills Strong
problem-solving abilities
and ownership mindset. Ability to bring
innovative approaches
to testing methodologies. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills . Proven ability to thrive in a
collaborative, fast-paced team environment
with tight schedules.
