Position Overview Daimyo Capital Partners is seeking a Commercial Mortgage Broker to lead and expand its national loan origination and capital placement platform. This position is suited for an accomplished professional with deep experience in commercial real estate debt markets, a robust lender network, and the ability to structure complex transactions with institutional precision. The successful candidate will originate, structure, and execute commercial real estate loans through private lenders, life companies, debt funds, and national and regional banks, while collaborating closely with internal teams and investment sales professionals to enhance Daimyos market footprint and capital execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Source, originate, and structure commercial real estate loans across bridge, construction, permanent, and mezzanine debt products. Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, operators, and third-party origination partners. Pre-screen and qualify transactions prior to formal underwriting and marketing; analyze borrower profiles, asset fundamentals, and capital requirements. Prepare and present comprehensive loan underwriting packages, term sheets, and lender presentations. Partner with Daimyos acquisitions and investment sales divisions to deliver full-service advisory solutions, including staple financing strategies that drive market share and client retention. Expand and cultivate relationships with capital sources to achieve superior execution on behalf of clients. Represent Daimyo Capital Partners at key market events, associations, and industry organizations as an active source of relationships and referral opportunities. Track macroeconomic and credit market trends to anticipate shifts in lender appetite, spreads, and credit standards. Mentor and guide junior originators and analysts; contribute to the ongoing build-out of Daimyos capital markets infrastructure. Generating leads and deal flow to ensure a steady pipeline of potential clientele.

Qualifications Active NMLS license (Required). California Real Estate License strongly preferred; licenses in additional U.S. states are a plus. Minimum 7 years of capital markets or commercial loan origination experience with a brokerage, investment bank, or principal platform. Demonstrated ability to transfer and leverage existing relationships with lenders, developers, and institutional borrowers. Advanced understanding of loan structures, capital stacks, and underwriting metrics (DSCR, LTV, LTC, debt yield, yield-on-cost, etc.). Superior written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing polished lender packages and client presentations. Collaborative leadership style that supports cross-functional teamwork and shared success. Proven record of closing substantial transaction volume and generating repeat client mandates. Highly analytical, strategic, and entrepreneurial with the judgment and discretion required in institutional advisory work. Superior lead generation and effective networking techniques.

Additional Information: Employment offers will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, a candidates skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
