Description The Managing Director will drive client engagement, risk management strategy, and revenue growth across corporate, sponsor-backed, and institutional clients seeking customized interest rate hedging solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep product expertise with proven leadership, a strong client network, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable risk-management strategies. This role requires a seasoned Interest Rate Derivatives professional with deep experience in end‑user markets, structured risk management solutions, and balance sheet‑aware trading practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the development and delivery of customized hedging solutions for corporate and sponsor clients.

Originate, structure, and execute trading that optimizes capital, liquidity, and balance sheet usage to ensure efficient returns on risk‑weighted assets.

Manage P&L performance, ensuring sustainable returns while maintaining a conservative risk profile consistent with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Drive new client acquisition and build deep relationships with key clients, and maintain a deep understanding of client portfolios, risk profiles, and market needs.

Advise clients on market conditions, forward curves, monetary‑policy expectations, and hedging best practices in support of financing, liability management, and capital planning.

Partner with the Commercial and Corporate Banking divisions to integrate hedging solutions into broader client coverage strategies.

Drive business strategy to enhance product offerings, improve distribution, and strengthen the bank’s competitive positioning with customers.

Manage a defined coverage area and contribute to team‑wide origination efforts.

Operate within and contribute to a high‑performing sales team; mentor junior and mid‑level professionals, fostering technical expertise and client engagement skills.

Maintain a strong market presence, building long‑term client relationships, while representing the bank in customer meetings, and internal committees.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

12+ years of experience in interest rate derivatives, including significant exposure to end‑user hedging for corporate or institutional clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree or relevant certifications (CFA, FRM) preferred.

Demonstrated track record of originating, structuring, and executing rate hedging transactions with measurable revenue impact.

Deep understanding of derivative pricing, risk management, credit considerations, documentation (e.g., ISDA/CSA), and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Dodd‑Frank, EMIR).

Established client relationships across corporates, private equity sponsors, or financial institutions.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams or driving cross‑functional initiatives.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills across all organization levels.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
