Role overview: Lead the analytics function for ticketing, pricing, and marketing operations, driving revenue growth and fan engagement through data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
Design and implement dynamic pricing strategies for ticketing and premium seating.
Partner with sales leaders to develop pricing models that maximize revenue and enhance fan accessibility.
Build predictive models to forecast sales, demand elasticity, and ROI for pricing and promotional initiatives.
Develop and deploy predictive models for customer churn, demand forecasting, lifetime value, and segmentation.
Analyze fan behavior and digital engagement to improve marketing effectiveness and campaign performance.
Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform marketing, sales, and retention strategies.
Collaborate with Ticketing, Marketing, Partnerships, and Finance teams to embed analytics into business planning.
Serve as a trusted advisor, empowering departments to leverage data for strategic decisions.
Align analytics initiatives with organizational objectives in partnership with senior leadership.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality analytical solutions.
Promote collaboration and professional growth within the Business Strategy & Analytics function.
Oversee the use of BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R, Snowflake).
Partner with IT and data engineering to maintain scalable, integrated, and secure data infrastructure.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and data sources to enhance analytical capabilities.
Tools, Systems, & Data Infrastructure
BI and analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Programming languages (SQL, Python, R)
Data warehouse solutions (Snowflake)
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in sports, entertainment, or consumer-facing industries.
Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization tools.
Proven experience in pricing strategy, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Proficiency coding with SQL, Python, and/or R.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
Understanding of deploying business intelligence platforms and data visualizations for storytelling.
Experience working cross-functionally and influencing at all levels of a matrixed organization.
